MLSC’s board meets 4 times a year…two are in-person meetings, and two are by telephone. Our next meeting–by telephone– is March 3.
This afternoon, our Palau office obtained a court order that will help a widow and her children receive Social Security benefits. One of many examples.
Subject to the supervision of the Executive and Deputy Directors (who are based in MLSC’s central office in Saipan), the Directing Attorney will handle a wide variety of civil cases, including both litigated and non-litigated matters; conduct community outreach and education; and actively collaborate with others to increase access to justice for the over 50,000 low income residents of the Marshall Islands. The Directing Attorney will supervise a staff of about six secretaries, trial counselors/paralegals and lawyers, and direct and manage a busy regional office in Majuro and a satellite office in Ebeye.
Please submit a resume and letter of interest to MLSC’s executive director, Lee Pliscou, via email: email@example.com.
